Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) for the main works on the Once-through cooling water project

Project Details:

The project involved review of project designs vis a vis expansion activities to determine construction and post-construction risks and impacts as well as preparation of a management plan to guide KEPCo in mitigating potential environmental issues associated with the expansion project. Recommendations were also made to alter designs to mitigation critical environmental and social impacts.

Our experts performed the following activities:

• Project design review, detailed direct and indirect impact assessment including potential risks to human health
• Site visit and site inspection
• Engagement of relevant institutions and neighbouring land users
• Preparation of Construction Environmental Management Plan in line with KEPCo ESMS system documentation structure as well as local requirements and GIIP
• High level technical recommendations to alter project design for critical impact mitigation
• Training of Contractor EHS Personnel
