Project Summary

This Preliminary Environmental Report (PER) highlights key environmental and social impacts (negative and positive) identified during the impact assessment process of the proposed United Nations’ World Food Programme (UN-WFP) Regional Transport Training Centre and how proposed attenuation and management measures can help reduce environmental impacts while enhancing socio-economic benefits.

After site verification visits, the Agency determined that the proposed project would have marginal environmental and social effects on both the biophysical and socio-economic environments and has been classified as a project for which a Preliminary Environmental Assessment (PEA) is required.
